July 17th 2016 marks National Tattoo Day – A day that will be celebrated and embraced by the now 1 in 5 of Brits who have a tattoo, as well as tattoo studios around the country, which have seen a more than 170% rise in numbers over the past decade.

National Tattoo Day is a celebration of body art; everything from the artwork decorating the proud owners of tattoos and the thousands of studios that continue to rise around the country.

In light of National Tattoo Day, we recently ran a survey asking a selection of people their views on tattoos with regards to job performance and character. We found that over 65% of the UK believe a person’s visible tattoos should not be held against them when going for a job interview, with as many as 77% of people in the 18-24 age group sharing this view.

“In the past, tattoos have been considered as part of a counterculture, a statement of difference. Today tattoos are more common than ever, and for the most part viewed with neutrality as a perfectly normal addition to a person’s character and appearance” – Read more on this in our blog discussing that 65% of Britons believe tattoos aren’t a reflection on job performance

Over the years, we’ve been working closely with tattooists with a passionate aim to become the go-to place for tattoo artists to garner everything they need to aid the smooth running of their studio, from equipment to services, advice and guidance. In celebration of National Tattoo Day on the 17th, we’ve collated our resources and offerings for the tattoo industry below:
