After the launch of our brand new Tattooist Hub, we wanted to make sure that we were offering the best possible service for licensed tattooists in the UK. We approached one of our customers, tattooist Laura Salmon the founder and owner of The Ink Artist, for feedback about our clinical waste management services.

Meeting your needs

As a newly licensed tattooist, Laura was aware of the importance in acting responsibly and ensuring that the highest standard of hygiene is maintained in a tattoo studio. To meet the requirements of the Health and Safety Executive, expert sharps collection & clinical waste disposal is essential for any tattooist and being a mobile studio, The Ink Artist required infrequent collections, rather than regular scheduled services.

Having found our website with a quick search online, we were happily able to provide impartial advice and meet The Ink Artist’s requirements with our waste disposal services.

What we did for them

We understand how important a reliable collection and disposal service is when it comes to disposing of clinical waste for tattooists. We provided The Ink Artist with a 240 litre offensive waste bin, along with a hazardous sharps disposal bin to cover all of their sharps and clinical waste.

Our waste disposal services are available with a variety of service options, and we offered an infrequent service for The Ink Artist to suit their needs. Their waste is discretely collected and professionally disposed of at a licensed facility to ensure minimum impact on the environment.

As part of our service, we also provide full duty of care documentation as an official record to show that the studio’s waste is responsibly and legally disposed of by a professional carrier.

“Direct365 were the only company who responded to my enquiry, it was almost like I was overlooked by everyone else because we’re only a small, mobile, tattoo business. As I was just starting up, I had no idea what was required for sharps removal but the team at Direct365 were brilliant and told me exactly what I needed to do. If I didn’t get the flexible, infrequent service I needed and the good price I was offered from them I don’t know what I would have done!

You can have a two way conversation with Direct365, which is rare. I would definitely recommend them, I’ve already been spreading the word about their new hub pages – they’re really useful. ”
