So far, Direct365 have taken to reviewing five hand dryers. Our honest reviews aim to look at the quality of the dryer itself, but also compares it to other dryers on the market. So far, we’ve reviewed the Dyson Airblade V, the Airforce hand dryer, and the PHS Airstream Whisper, Pure and Vitesse driers. You can click the links to view those, but here we’re looking at another popular dryer amongst our range, the Mitsubishi Jet Towel Wave i01.

A hands in hand dryer coming in a variety of colours, this Mitsubishi hand dryer is seen as effective for many settings, from high volume areas to smaller businesses looking for a smart dryer. But what makes this dryer so popular? And what are the potential drawbacks that may stop you buying this dryer? That’s what we’ll be looking at with our honest hat on, aiming to give a fair handed review to help you decide whether the Jet Towel Wave is for you. Each section will come with a star rating out of five to give you a quick look at what we think about the dryer. Let’s take a closer look.

Noise Volume – ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

In our opinion the noise volume is one of the best features of the Mitsubishi Jet Towel Wave. Sitting at 56Dbs at 1 meter away, this dryer is approx. the same noise level as a household fridge. So, in other words, it’s pretty quiet. This type of dryer would be idea for those businesses that have smaller premises, or whose washroom is closer to their public-facing areas, and they don’t want noise to interrupt the customer experience. For a quiet dry, this dryer would be a great option.

Eco-Friendly – ⭐⭐⭐

We understand that businesses are looking for small ways to improve how eco-friendly they are. This can be from the cleaning products they use, the transports they use and anything in between. With the Mitsubishi Jet Towel, you’re going to be using much less energy than some other dryers on the market. At 560w as the lowest setting, this dryer sits firmly at the low end of the energy use scale. There are additional power settings that use higher levels of power, but having this lower option is hugely beneficial if low energy use is a concern for you.

Speed of Dry – ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

The speed of dry for the Mitsubishi Jet Towel Wave is excellent, with an approximate dry time of 9 – 11 seconds. This is certainly in the bracket of our quickest dryers, with many other dryers taking between 10 – 20 seconds. For the price and quality of this dryer, this dry time is hugely beneficial. If you’re looking to ensure customers and in and out of your washrooms, this is certainly a good dryer to go for.

Budget – ⭐⭐⭐1/2

When looking at this Mitsubishi hand dryer in relation to our entire range, it probably sits slap bang in the middle of the lowest and highest price points we offer. A dryer around £500 certainly isn’t unusual, and when you look at other hands-in hand dryers, the Jet Towel is a great price. Many of those style dryers sit in the region of £700 – £900, and is the seconds best price in the entire range. If you’re looking for a hands-in dryer specifically, and taking into account all of the great features (including dry time and noise volume) it seems like a bit of a no-brainer to us.

Hygiene and IP Rating – ⭐⭐⭐

The IP rating for the Mitsubishi Jet Towel Wave is IPX4. This means that, unsurprisingly, is has protection from splashed water. IP rating is short for International Protection. What that means really, is how protected from the elements your appliance – in this case, hand dryer – is. In this case, the X4 signifies the level of protection against water. Higher X numbers offer protection against spray or heavy water protection, while lower numbers offer protection against small levels of water droplets. It’s natural to expect your dryer to have an X4 level, because water is always going to be splashed when used.

That’s our review of the Mitsubishi Jet Towel Wave. It’s a very good hand dryer. The noise volume and speed of dry are clearly the best features, and while the price of this unit also makes it a really competitive choice for almost all types of businesses. Sure, you can find a much cheaper dryer amongst out offering, but for something with the quality and features as this, you’ll struggle. Now you’ve heard what we think, why not take a look at a Mitsubishi hand dryer, here.
