These places are in places of the world that are less developed, with only basic (or less than) of facilities. To think that half of the world don’t have access to a safe, clean toilet is pretty mind blowing.

On average, we use the toilet 2,500 times a year

What’s the worth of a loo?

While this is in US dollars, it proves that investing in washrooms in both the public and private sectors has a material impact on health and the economy.

To was or not to wash

According to US plumbing website Mr Rooter, only 80% of people wash their hands after using the toilet, with only 30% of people using soap to clean. From our point of view, we’re not quite sure who those 70% of people are who are admitting to not washing their hands properly.

Cubicle one is the best

Statistically, the first cubicle in a row is the cleanest within the washroom. So, if you’re nipping to the loo, and you’re in that 70% that don’t wash their hands with soap, you’ll at least be a tad more hygienic having use that toilet.
